Gold Panda Proof Coins
These are the exclusive collectors edition of the Chinese gold panda coin. As proof coins, their detail is unparalleled as they were stuck multiple times in order to accentuate the scenes they each uniquely depict of the endangered Chinese Panda.
Originally the coins were distributed in boxes with certificates of authenticity. The true scarcity of these coins is evidenced by the fact that the China Mint of Shenyang has released actual mintage figures for some of these coins. The 1992 edition has an actual mintage of 802 and the 1995 gold panda coin - 555 pieces only.
