BlockBeats News, May 26th - According to a survey jointly released by Mercado Bitcoin and Opinion Box, cryptocurrency is continuing to expand its presence in the Brazilian financial market, currently appearing in the portfolios of 16% of Brazilian investors. The survey also shows that 56% of those who have never invested in crypto assets express interest in entering the market in the future.

The data indicates that the industry in Brazil is maturing, especially as investors remain conservative and prioritize security. The most common investment type among Brazilians is still Time Deposit Certificates (56%), followed by savings accounts (49%). It is worth noting that digital assets are being incorporated as part of asset diversification strategies, rather than necessarily replacing traditional investments. Nearly half of crypto investors still hold funds in savings accounts.

The survey data also reflects a sense of opportunity, with 61% of Brazilians viewing Bitcoin's decline as a favorable buying opportunity, a figure that rises to 79% among those who already hold crypto assets. Furthermore, 82% of crypto investors say they do not regret investing in this market, with 44% regretting not starting earlier. Experts point out that Brazilian investors are now more mature, pragmatic, focused on asset preservation, rather than being ideology-driven.

Despite the progress, there are still significant obstacles: about 62% of respondents say they find it difficult to understand the technical terms of the crypto field, and 76% consider the market too complex. Regulation is also a determining factor for Brazilian investors, with 55% of respondents believing that trading on regulated platforms is the most important attribute when choosing a crypto investment venue. Experts note that the Central Bank of Brazil, CVM, and the National Congress no longer view digital assets as a fringe phenomenon. The advancement of regulation and the entry of traditional financial institutions are significantly reducing institutional risk perception.
