BlockBeats News, May 27th, FTSE Russell announced the latest preliminary additions to the Russell 3000 Index, with several crypto-related companies included, such as Sharplink, Forward Industries, Gemini, Galaxy Digital, and Bitmine.

Among them, the Ethereum reserve company Bitmine and Galaxy Digital have met the Russell 1000 Index inclusion threshold due to their market caps of approximately $5.7 billion and $11.55 billion, respectively. If successfully included, the two companies will be listed alongside major US tech stocks such as Nvidia, Microsoft, Apple, and Alphabet.

In addition, Sharplink, Forward Industries, and Gemini are poised to enter the Russell 2000 Index. It is widely believed in the market that being included in the Russell index series typically means gaining more ETF and institutional passive fund allocations, which helps improve liquidity, expand shareholder base, and enhance capital market influence.

FTSE Russell will continue to update the list on June 5th, 12th, and 18th, with the final adjustment results expected to take effect after the U.S. stock market closes on June 26th.
