Tether Sues Brazilian Titan Holding to Recover $300 Million Defaulted Loan

BlockBeats News, May 9th, Tether has filed a lawsuit in São Paulo, Brazil, to recover a $300 million loan from Titan Holding, a company under the Master Group. The loan was issued by Tether's venture arm, Tether Investments, in March 2025, with the original repayment deadline set for March 28, 2026. However, no repayment has been received to date. Daniel Vorcaro, the owner of the Master Group, was recently arrested. His Banco Master was liquidated by the Central Bank of Brazil in November last year due to a $2.2 billion reserve shortfall, affecting over a million customers. Tether has requested in the lawsuit to freeze all financial assets of Titan and its affiliated companies.
