MOXIE

1. Project Introduction

Moxie's mission is to grow Farcaster's GDP and help Farcaster's members and community prosper. Moxie runs on the Base blockchain and was launched as part of OnchainSummer 2024.

The Moxie Protocol ("Moxie") facilitates an efficient on-chain economy on Farcaster. It supports multiple features such as paid memberships, monetization, member-only features and benefits, Farcaster native advertising models, built-in attribution, rewards and revenue sharing.

Moxie's main cryptocurrency "MOXIE" enables you to participate in the Moxie ecosystem and co-own this project with other members of the community.

The protocol is a coordinated combination of multiple smart contracts that can be executed through Frames, Actions, and Apps/Clients. It represents the foundational technology that anyone can use to add economic incentives to their Farcaster experience.

4. Token Application and Distribution

Token Application:

Moxie's native asset MOXIE is an important part of the Moxie economic engine, which constantly requires participants to purchase and lock MOXIE into the Moxie protocol contract, and the protocol destroys MOXIE in every transaction.

Token Distribution:

MOXIE is an ERC-20 token on the Base blockchain. The initial total supply of MOXIE is 10,000,000,000 MOXIE. 50% of the tokens are reserved for the ecosystem and 20% for protocol development. 10% is used to ensure liquidity at launch so that developers can use the protocol.
