This is a collaborative project initiated with audit service providers aimed at subsidizing the cost for Ethereum developers to conduct security audits. Security audits are an industry best practice but come with a high cost. The goal of this subsidy program is to make audits more affordable, thus enhancing the overall security of the Ethereum ecosystem.

Under the Ethereum Foundation's "Trillion-Dollar Security" initiative, the project is collaborating with institutions such as Areta, Nethermind, and Chainlink Labs to review applications to assist developers building on Ethereum in obtaining more affordable audit services for CROPS and new use cases.
