BlockBeats News, May 11, OpenAI announced the launch of a new business division, the "OpenAI Deployment Company," focusing on helping enterprises deeply integrate AI systems into core business processes. They have also agreed to acquire the AI consulting and engineering firm Tomoro. This acquisition will bring approximately 150 Forward Deployed Engineers and deployment experts to the deployment company.
OpenAI stated that this division will directly deploy engineers into enterprise operations, collaborate with management and frontline teams to redesign workflows, build AI production systems, and drive the practical implementation of AI in complex business scenarios. The initial funding size of the deployment company exceeds $4 billion, majority-owned by OpenAI, with TPG as the lead investor, and participation from Advent, Bain Capital, Brookfield, and other institutions. Collaborating partners include Goldman Sachs, SoftBank, McKinsey, Capgemini, and other major capital and consulting firms.
OpenAI mentioned that currently, over 1 million enterprises are using its products, and the next phase of enterprise AI competition will shift from "using AI" to "restructuring organizations and business systems around AI."
