These three destroyers sustained no damage, but the Iranian attackers suffered significant losses. Their numerous small boats were completely destroyed. Missiles were fired at the U.S. Navy destroyers but were easily intercepted. Similarly, drones attempted to attack but were thoroughly destroyed in the air. A normal country would have allowed these destroyers to pass, but Iran is by no means a normal country.
