According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, Reuters reported that Europe's leading artificial intelligence company Mistral AI announced on Tuesday the acquisition of Emmi AI, based in Linz, Austria, with the specific amount undisclosed. This acquisition aims to enhance its AI solutions capability for European industrial clients.
In 2025, Emmi AI completed Austria's largest funding round, raising 15 million euros. The company focuses on AI models that can tackle complex physical problems in industrial scenarios, including airflow, heat conduction, and material stress.
Mistral AI stated that this transaction will strengthen its core strategy around the European client base, focusing on engineering design and manufacturing tasks, which are currently relatively overlooked by the AI industry. The company mentioned that its solutions will be tailored to customer needs, integrating multiple AI tools to work in harmony. For example, one AI model is responsible for detecting production defects, another controls robotic arms, a third handles logistics data, and these systems will operate in a unified and coordinated manner.
