SatoshiVM is a decentralized Bitcoin ZK Rollup Layer 2 solution compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) ecosystem, using native BTC as gas. SatoshiVM bridges the EVM ecosystem with Bitcoin, enabling the Bitcoin ecosystem to issue assets and develop applications. As a ZK Rollup, SatoshiVM bundles multiple transactions into batches that are validated as a single transaction on the Bitcoin blockchain, ensuring security on par with layer 1 while improving scalability through off-chain computation and ZK fraud proofs.
Key technological features of SatoshiVM are: a ZK EVM that enables Ethereum-style on-chain computation and development; ZK Rollup batching to provide mainnet-equivalent security at L2 scalability; ZK fraud proofs accomplished via Bitcoin Script without altering Bitcoin consensus rules; enforced data availability through mainnet transaction data releases, enabling universal computation verification; and native BTC as gas to power L2 computation by leveraging Bitcoin's liquidity and developed infrastructure the same way Ethereum leverages ETH on layer 2.
