This non-binding resolution was introduced jointly by the two leaders of the Senate Banking Committee's Digital Assets Subcommittee - Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming and Democratic Senator Ruben Gallego of Arizona. Lummis, a staunch supporter of the cryptocurrency industry in Congress, has been advocating for industry legislative frameworks for years, but in this case, she expressly advocated for SBF to remain in custody.
