Dynamic Beating AI Newsflash: NVIDIA's Chief Financial Officer, Colette Kress, stated during the Q2 FY2027 earnings call that the company expects a 70% revenue growth for FY2028, significantly higher than the Wall Street average expectation of 44% based on LSEG data.
Calculating based on the market's forecast of NVIDIA's FY2027 revenue of $396 billion, a 70% growth in FY2028 would bring its annual revenue to approximately $673 billion. According to current Wall Street estimates, this scale would surpass Apple and Alphabet, making NVIDIA the second-highest revenue-generating company among U.S. tech firms, second only to Amazon, which is still primarily a retail business.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated that the company's actual demand growth is "significantly above 70%," but the current supply capacity only supports a confident forecast of 70% growth. Global supply constraints of components such as storage chips have limited a higher guidance, and NVIDIA will continue to collaborate with its supply chain to expand capacity.
Huang mentioned that NVIDIA has rarely provided such long-term performance forecasts in the past, but the company can now see the next year's computational demand, while data center partners in terms of land, power, and more are investing heavily, hence the need to provide consistent information to partners. He also noted that AI infrastructure demand has shifted from the early days primarily driven by a few hyperscale cloud providers and individual cutting-edge labs to a more extensive customer base, including regional AI firms, Neo-cloud, startups, enterprise clients, open model ecosystems, and physical AI.
