BlockBeats News, August 28th, Stablecoin issuer Circle has reached a sponsorship agreement with the English Premier League powerhouse Chelsea, becoming its principal partner and official shirt (front) sponsor.

The agreement was announced on Friday, starting from the 2026/27 season, Circle and USDC's branding will appear on Chelsea's men's team, women's team, and youth team jerseys.

USDC operates under the GENIUS Act framework, which was signed into law last year by President Donald Trump. Tether's USDT operates mainly outside of this framework globally, while introducing the smaller-scale USAT stablecoin specifically targeting the U.S. market.
