2. Choose a grid type based on your market outlook:
(1) Long Grid: Applies when you anticipate the market fluctuating upward overall with a bullish trend.
- Open a long position first (Buy). When the price rises, place sell orders to take profit.
- If the price falls, buy again to lower the average entry price or increase the long position.
- Profit Source:
- Sell at higher prices during upward movements to capture the price difference.
- Accumulate positions during pullbacks and wait for rebounds.
(2) Short Grid: Applies when you anticipate the market fluctuating downward overall with a bearish trend.
- Open a short position first (Sell); When the price falls, place buy orders to repurchase at lower prices.
- If the price rises, sell again to reduce the average entry cost or increase the short position.
- Profit Source:
- Buy back at lower prices during downward movements to capture the price difference.
- Increase short positions during upward movements.
(3) Neutral Grid: Applies when the market is expected to fluctuate within a range without a clear directional trend.
- Place sell orders above the current price and buy orders below, without predicting market direction.
- Profit Source: Relies entirely on price fluctuations within the preset range, capturing the price difference by buying low and selling high.
