What is a Derivative?

In simpler terms, it’s an agreement between two or more parties that allows them to speculate on or hedge against the future price movements of an asset without owning it outright. Types of Derivatives

On the other hand, speculators use derivatives to bet on price movements without owning the underlying asset. This can amplify gains but also increases the risk of losses.
