The United States Relaxes Export Restrictions on UAE, Opening Door for AI Chip Sales
  • NVDAX0%

BlockBeats News, July 11th, the Trump administration plans to ease export restrictions to the UAE, removing barriers for its purchase of various advanced technologies, including commercial satellites and semiconductors for artificial intelligence. The U.S. Department of Commerce stated in a notice to be released next week that the UAE now qualifies for more relaxed treatment under U.S. export control laws.

The U.S. Department of Commerce also mentioned that the UAE has supported the U.S. position in the anti-Iran conflict. Easing the export restrictions will allow UAE companies to proceed with planned purchases of advanced AI chips from NVIDIA, AMD, and Cerebras Systems.

This agreement was reached between the U.S. and the UAE over a year ago, stipulating that these companies supply thousands of processors to G42, a UAE-backed tech leader, for use in a new AI data center in the region.
