이데일리에 따르면, 오는 10월부터 보이스피싱으로 탈취당한 가상자산도 돌려받을 수 있는 길이 열린다. 금융위원회는 15일 이 같은 내용을 담은 ‘전기통신금융사기 피해 방지 및 피해금 환급에 관한 특별법 시행령’ 개정안을 입법예고한다고 밝혔다. 지난 3월 개정된 특별법이 피해구제 대상 자산을 기존 금전에서 가상자산까지 확대함에 따라 법률에서 위임한 세부 사항을 마련한 것이다. 개정안에 따르면 피해 환급 방식은 자산의 형태에 따라 달라진다. 금전은 기존처럼 금액 단위로 지급하고, 가상자산은 종류와 수량 단위로 환급한다. 예를 들어 비트코인을 탈취당했다면 원칙적으로 비트코인으로 돌려받게 된다.
