Ondo Founder’s Mother Sues to Oust CEO: Delaware Court Fight Begins
  • ONDO0%

CoinEx News: On August 6, 2026, reports confirmed that Kathleen Allman, mother of late Ondo Finance founder Nathan Allman, filed a lawsuit in Delaware Court of Chancery. She seeks control of the company and removal of CEO Ian De Bode. Allman was appointed estate administrator by a Hawaii court in late June 2026 and claims the estate holds controlling voting power. She expanded the board, appointed directors including her daughter, and on July 24 voted to remove De Bode from all positions while naming herself chair and interim CEO. The complaint alleges De Bode assumed the CEO role without board approval after Allman’s sudden death in late May 2026. De Bode called the claims meritless and said the company retains support from lead investors and the Ondo Foundation.

The unresolved governance dispute introduces short-term uncertainty for Ondo, a leading RWA tokenization platform that issues products such as USDY and OUSG. Leadership clarity remains pending court resolution; no immediate operational halt has been reported.
