CoinEx News: Bitcoin traded above $65,000 on August 10, 2026, after rising nearly 3% over the previous week. The advance followed weaker-than-expected US employment data that eased concerns about additional Federal Reserve rate hikes and lifted risk appetite across both traditional and digital markets. The S&P 500 reached new highs after the jobs report, while semiconductor shares also strengthened.
Most major cryptocurrencies finished the week higher in line with Bitcoin. Ethereum traded near $1,919 with a weekly gain of about 3%, Solana advanced nearly 5% to around $77. XRP lagged with a weekly decline of roughly 4%. The price move took place despite recent technical issues on the Bitcoin network, including wallet-related attacks and a short-lived chain split. Market attention now turns to the US consumer price index data scheduled for release on August 12. Softer or in-line inflation figures could support further gains, while a hotter reading may reverse recent advances. Macro policy expectations currently outweigh internal network events for most participants.
