CoinEx News: Solana node operators and stakers are voting on two economic proposals, with voting expected to end around 15:30 UTC on August 27, 2026. SIMD-0550 would double the annual slowdown in new SOL issuance from 15% to 30%, retain the 1.5% terminal floor, and reduce modeled issuance by about 18.9 million SOL over six years. SIMD-0553 would replace the existing signature-fee burn with a resource fee based on requested network capacity and burn it in full.
SOL's August 26 UTC close was about $102, the first daily close above $100 since February 3; the token stayed above $100 on August 27. U.S. funds that hold actual SOL posted net inflows on seven trading days from August 18 to August 26, taking the running total to about $1.26 billion, with $9.14 million on August 26. July non-vote transactions—user transfers and app use, not validator votes—hit a monthly record of 4.2 billion.
