1.Project introduction

USD.AI is a permissionless lending protocol built to finance the capital-intensive AI infrastructure market. It enables GPU operators to tokenize their hardware as collateral and access on-chain financing instantaneously. The protocol addresses the structural mismatch between fast-depreciating GPU assets and slow-moving traditional credit systems by creating a liquid credit instrument. Its vision is to establish the 'interest rate of AI' by providing a transparent, on-chain mechanism for GPU-backed lending. The ecosystem includes a dual-token model with USDai (a stablecoin overcollateralized by PYUSD) and sUSDai (its yield-bearing counterpart), facilitating new liquidity pathways for AI operators.

2.Token application and distribution

Token application

The CHIP token is the governance token of the USD.AI protocol. It enables holders to vote on critical protocol parameters that determine its operation. This includes deciding which hardware qualifies as collateral, structuring interest rate tiers across different asset classes, setting and allocating protocol fees, and governing the expansion of the eligible collateral universe over time. Governance decisions directly impact both borrowers' access to financing terms and capital providers' risk and yield profiles.
