Token application

Bellscoin (BELLS) is used for transactions within its ecosystem, including virtual goods and services. It enables miners to secure the network via computational work under a Proof-of-Work consensus, featuring a gamified random reward mining system. BELLS facilitates payments and value transfer, making mining more engaging and supporting the network's security through merged mining with Litecoin and Dogecoin.

Token distribution

Bellscoin attempted gamification by introducing randomness into the rewards for miners while simultaneously applying the halving mechanism similar to Bitcoin.

Given that Bellscoin’s block time is 60 seconds, meaning one block is generated per minute, and the algorithm adjusts the difficulty every 4 hours, the reward for block production can be calculated considering the halving mechanism.
