BlockBeats News, August 21st, today, CMB Wing Lung Bank issued an important notice to customers, stating that it is actively cooperating with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Securities and Futures Commission to optimize and review Mainland investors' investment accounts.
Upon verification, all relevant customers' investment accounts (including wealth management, securities, and/or paper gold passbook accounts) as of May 22, 2026, showed no asset balance and no investment transaction records in the past 12 months, and have been defined as "zero-balance non-active investment accounts."
To ensure the normal operation of the accounts, the bank requires customers to submit the "Non-Active Investment Account Declaration Form" as soon as possible. Customers can automatically submit it through the CMB Wing Lung Bank mobile app's personal account popup window; joint account holders or those who have not registered for the mobile app can call the customer service hotline for guidance. Each joint account holder must submit separately. The main contents of the declaration form include confirming the accuracy of personal information, the legitimacy of the fund sources, no closure or suspension of the account due to suspicious documents, and timely notification of any information changes.
Bank Reminder: If customers fail to submit the declaration form promptly, new investment transactions (including stock purchases, subscription to wealth management products, etc.) will be temporarily suspended; if the submission continues to be delayed, it is expected that from November 2026, relevant "non-active investment accounts" may be subject to closure. Once the account is suspended or closed, no new securities or wealth management product investment transactions can be carried out.
