한 X 이용자(@cprkrn)가 클로드AI를 활용해 11년 넘게 잠겨 있던 BTC 지갑 복구에 성공했다고 밝혔다. 해당 이용자는 대학 시절 사용하던 컴퓨터 파일을 클로드AI에 업로드 한 뒤 지갑에 보관된 5 BTC를 되찾았다. 클로드는 저장 파일 속에서 암호화된 지갑 데이터를 발견한 뒤, 오픈소스 복구 도구 btcrecover의 문제를 분석·수정해 개인 키 복호화를 지원했다. 이후 키를 Wallet Import Format(WIF) 형태로 변환하는 데도 성공했다. 그는 이전까지 여러 상업용 복구 서비스를 이용했지만 약 250달러를 지불하고도 실패했다고 전했다.
