BlockBeats News, July 18th - According to Reuters, amidst the escalating US-Iran conflict, Pakistan has conveyed a clear stance to Iran that any attack on Saudi Arabia will be considered an attack on Pakistan, which is a "red line" that Pakistan will not cross.

The report stated that the Pakistani government and military have communicated this position to the highest levels in Iran. Under a joint strategic defense agreement signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in 2025, an attack on either party will be seen as aggression against both.

Furthermore, sources revealed that Iran has informed the Houthi rebels that if the US attacks Iranian power facilities, the Houthis will consider blocking the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Currently, the Houthis are said to have deployed missiles and drones near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

Analysts believe that if both the Hormuz and Mandeb straits, the two major energy transit points, are blocked simultaneously, the global energy supply chain and international shipping will face further disruptions.
