Russia Charges Telegram Founder Durov With Aiding Terrorism, Issues Arrest Warrant

CoinEx News: On July 29, 2026, Russia’s FSB charged Telegram founder Pavel Durov with facilitating terrorist activity and issued an international arrest warrant, saying the app failed to remove channels, chats and bots used to prepare sabotage, terrorism and cyber-fraud inside Russia. Telegram’s official X account responded by posting a photo of Durov giving the middle finger.
