CoinEx News: An August 23, 2026 daily technical scan of 90 tracked crypto assets found 88 above their 20-day moving averages, 86 above their 50-day averages and 88 showing positive trend momentum; 58 were also above their 200-day averages, confirming that the rebound has spread well beyond Bitcoin. This breadth is consistent with an early bull-market transition rather than a narrow bear-market bounce, but it does not yet confirm a complete bear-to-bull reversal because only 18 assets had a full bullish moving-average structure, with shorter-term averages above longer-term ones.
Crowding is now the immediate risk: 47 assets had a relative strength index, a gauge of whether momentum is becoming overheated, at 70 or higher and 19 were above 80, while BTC, ETH, XRP and SOL registered roughly 81, 79, 87 and 84 respectively. Early bull-market transitions can still produce sharp intraday wicks, where prices briefly fall and recover, so traders may consider setting limit orders around validated support levels in advance instead of chasing extended moves; the next test is whether those levels and recently reclaimed moving averages hold during the next pullback.
