BlockBeats News, September 8, Circle announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tazapay, a Singapore-based B2B cross-border payment infrastructure company. The transaction is expected to close in 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, including approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Circle stated that Tazapay will bring over $25 billion in annualized payment volume, more than 60 banking and fintech partners, and local payment rails covering over 100 markets. Approximately 60% of Tazapay's transaction volume already involves stablecoins. Circle said the acquisition will enhance its global payment and collection capabilities and drive the adoption of USDC in cross-border commercial payments.
