C-Box is a tool that allows CoinEx users to share digital asset gift boxes with others. Once a C-Box is sent and claimed by the recipient, the funds are instantly transferred to their account and cannot be reversed. Due to its instant transfer nature, scammers may attempt to exploit C-Box for fraudulent activities.
To protect your assets, please carefully read the following risk warnings and anti-scam tips.
Risk Warning
1. Once a C-Box is claimed by the recipient, the funds are transferred immediately and cannot be reversed.
2. Sending assets via C-Box is considered a user-initiated action. If you incur losses due to misplaced trust in scammers, the platform is generally unable to forcibly recover the funds.
Important Reminders
Before sending a C-Box, please ensure that:
- You genuinely know and trust the recipient
- You are fully aware of the purpose of the funds
- You are not being misled, pressured, threatened, or rushed by a false sense of urgency
⚠️ Important: CoinEx will NEVER request users to send C-Box links, screenshots, codes, or issue a C-Box to any designated personal account via social media groups, direct messages (DMs), comment sections, SMS messages, or phone calls
Common Scam Tactics
1. Impersonation of Official Staff or Partners
All official CoinEx campaigns are published exclusively through the Announcement Center, and CoinEx will NEVER distribute bonuses or deposit matches via direct messages.
The scammers may impersonate CoinEx officials, official partners/ambassadors, or investment mentors on Telegram, X, Discord, or other social platforms, and induce users to send C-Box and then cut off all contact.
Common tactics include, but are not limited to:
- “Assisting with account issues”
- “Exclusive internal bonus”
- “Use my referral code for a 100% deposit match”
- “Deposit $X and get $X back”
- “Send a C-Box to verify your eligibility”
2. High-Yield Investment Program (HYIP)
There is NO guaranteed return in the crypto market. Any promise of fixed or guaranteed profits is inherently a SCAM.
Typical scam flow: Guide users to deposit → Request C-Boxes → Cut off contact after claiming.
Common promises include, but are not limited to:
- “Earn a guaranteed income of $XX every day”
- “Deposit $1,000 and earn $500 daily”
- “Insider token arbitrage”
- “Upcoming airdrop event - send a C-Box first to activate”
3. Disguising C-Box as a “Verification Tool”
C-Box is solely a tool for sharing asset gift boxes between CoinEx users. It has no verification function and is not an investment portal. Any request to send funds to a designated address via C-Box is a SCAM.
Common tactics include, but are not limited to:
- “Verify account eligibility”
- “Unlock access to profit”
- “Activate access to airdrop events”
Security Tips
⚠️ Any request asking you to send a C-Box to a designated individual or account under the guise of “rewards,” “rebates,” or “investment returns” is a scam.
