BlockBeats News, August 13th, according to sources cited by the U.S. technology media WIRED, the Trump administration's new artificial intelligence guidance will be modified to expand oversight of AI models.

The White House announced this month that it has developed a framework for artificial intelligence, under which U.S. laboratories will subject cutting-edge AI models to security testing by the federal government before public release. The government has not yet made this framework public, and reportedly has no plans to do so. Currently, this AI framework only involves so-called "closed source models" developed by companies such as Anthropic and OpenAI.

However, a White House official revealed that in the coming months, this framework is expected to also cover open source models. In summary, once open source models reach the same "cutting-edge" capability level as Anthropic's Mythos model and OpenAI's GPT-5.6, they will be included in the framework and undergo pre-release testing.
