BlockBeats News, September 8 — F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun posted a retrospective stating that 6 years ago, a member of the Zcash team contacted him, but during the communication, they kept confusing Eastern Standard Time (EST) with Eastern Daylight Time (EDT), causing the conversation to break down. He subsequently blacklisted the entire company that the member belonged to.
Wang Chun stated that 6 years later, this remains one of the "best decisions" he has ever made. He also referenced a previous incident involving BlockFi, noting that BlockFi was supposed to send users $701.4 but instead sent 701.4 BTC, sarcastically adding: "People who can't tell the difference between Eastern Standard Time and Daylight Saving Time probably mix up BTC and USD too."
Additionally, he expressed his delight at having liquidated his ZEC holdings last week and fully switching to DOGE.
Note: Wang Chun previously criticized the Zcash team in an April 2020 post, stating that if one cannot even understand how daylight saving time works, how can they claim to understand zkSNARKs, and believed the project had hired too many personnel lacking fundamental knowledge, which could ultimately lead to the project's failure.
