BlockBeats News, May 23rd - The Iran Civil Aviation Organization has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) for Iranian airspace, temporarily closing all airports in the western part of the "Tehran Flight Information Region" except for 8 airports including the Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport and the Mehrabad International Airport. These 8 open airports will only be available for commercial flights during daylight hours.

The NOTAM is in effect from May 22, 2026, to May 25, 2026. All airlines operating flights over or into Iran are still required to obtain permission from the Iran Civil Aviation Organization.
