BlockBeats News, August 16th. According to Arkham Data, at around 3:15 PM today, three consecutive token burn transactions appeared in CZ's public donation address. They were 4444 units of the Meme token "Bull Run" (with the contract address starting with 0xD043B6, a namesake token of the market-hyped 0xbee-starting "Bull Run" token), 4444 units of the Meme coin MarsCoin, and 4444 units of "Binance Life."

Upon investigation, it was found that the 4444 units of the Meme token "Bull Run" were not actively burned by CZ. The transaction initiator was the token's creator (address starting with 0xcf86...383). The creator deployed the contract and set up privileged authorization to mint 10 billion tokens to their own address. Subsequently, they proactively transferred around 8 billion tokens to CZ's address and then used transferFrom to forcibly move 4444 units from CZ's address to a black hole address to simulate CZ's burn. At no point did the CZ address grant any authorization to this token or its creator.

This method is not uncommon. Previously, in 2025, the CAAB token project team directly transferred 80% of the token supply to CZ's donation address, promoting "CZ's holdings." The market value skyrocketed to a false high in the short term, misleading investors. The SHORT token once sent 99.9% of its token supply to CZ, and after CZ cleaned up (burned) the tokens, it ironically caused a short-term surge, allowing the project team to unload their holdings.

BlockBeats reminds users that on-chain monitoring tools will directly display this transaction as "From: Changpeng Zhao." A single burn hash should not be considered CZ's endorsement, project participation, or active burning. Contract creators can move balances from other token holder addresses, posing extremely high risks. Meme tokens often lack practical use cases, experience significant price fluctuations, and investment should be approached with caution.
