Serenity Evaluates Leopold's Heavy Investment in Solar Photovoltaics: AI Bottleneck Driving Minimum Component Proliferation, MLCC Companies to Experience Strong Demand

BlockBeats News, August 12th, Serenity reported that it was previously unknown that 25-year-old Wall Street's rising AI Stock God Leopold was also an investor in the MLCC bottleneck, until the latest holdings disclosure revealed that his fund, Situational Awareness, held approximately 5.99% of the shares of Japan's Taiyo Yuden. As of June 29th, Leopold's average holding cost was around 17,446 Japanese Yen per share, while the current stock price is about 9,797 Japanese Yen, showing a significant unrealized loss.

Taiyo Yuden is one of the world's largest MLCC manufacturers, with a June shipment volume of 40 billion, reaching a five-year monthly high, benefiting from strong demand in AI servers for high-capacitance, low-voltage, small-sized MLCCs, along with Murata and Samsung Electro-Mechanics.

Serenity also added that today it has increased its position in Taiyo Yuden to show support. Recently, top MLCC manufacturers in Korea and Japan are rapidly shifting consumer-grade production to higher-spec products for AI, leading to a decrease in consumer-grade MLCC inventory to less than 30 days, a soaring channel price. The AI bottleneck is now spreading from GPUs and memory to the smallest components on the board.
