BlockBeats News, September 4th, the UK's largest retail investment platform Hargreaves Lansdown (with over $200 billion in assets under management) announced the availability of nine Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded note (ETN) products to its 2 million clients. The providers include BlackRock iShares, CoinShares, WisdomTree, 21Shares, Invesco, and Bitwise, with annual fees ranging from 0% to 0.35%.
This move comes less than a year after the platform warned its clients against investing in cryptocurrency, in response to policy changes following the UK Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) lifting of the ban on retail investment in crypto ETPs in October 2025. The platform requires new buyers to undergo a suitability assessment and wait for 24 hours before trading. (CoinDesk)
