BlockBeats News, July 17th, ChangXin Storage IPO has entered the final stage. Supply chain sources say that as the tension between China and the U.S. eases and Apple is rumored to have tested ChangXin's memory and lobbied the U.S. government for approval, PC brands are speeding up their orders, with related orders reportedly scheduled until the end of 2027.
Sources indicate that although the price increase of memory in the second half of 2026 may narrow, it will continue to rise. Brands are shifting some of the costs to consumers, and the increase in end prices has begun to suppress sales but has not yet reached a tipping point. Currently, all manufacturers are still actively vying for memory supply, with ChangXin Storage being a significant source.
Main PC manufacturers have completed testing of ChangXin Storage products, but whether they can obtain supply still depends on quotas. Major customers such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Apple are expected to receive supply priority, while smaller manufacturers may not make it onto the supply list.
Sources from the supply chain also stated that the U.S. had considered placing ChangXin Storage on the Entity List, but the related actions have not been disclosed. Apple is reportedly planning to use products with Chinese memory only for the Chinese market. Some PC brands see this as a signal that restrictions may be relaxed, prompting them to increase orders from ChangXin Storage and Yangtze Memory.
