BlockBeats News, July 18th, Anthropic announced that starting from July 20th, Claude Fable 5 will be officially included in the Max and Team Premium packages. Users can now allocate up to 50% of their package quota to Fable 5, with no set temporary deadline.

Pro and Team Standard users will still need to use Fable 5 through pay-as-you-go quotas. Anthropic will grant these users a one-time $100 credit.

When Fable 5 was released, Anthropic initially committed to providing it for free until June 22nd. The model was later suspended due to U.S. export controls, and after resuming on July 1st, the package access period was extended from July 7th to the 12th and 19th. Anthropic has consistently cited unpredictable demand and the need to incrementally increase computing power.

At this juncture, it's hard not to think of Kimi K3. The K3 has just approached Fable 5 in various programming and agent evaluations, surpassing it in some projects. The competitive pressure may have hastened Anthropic's decision, although there is currently no direct evidence.
