Serenity: Chinese Power Semiconductor Company Raises Prices for the Second Time This Year, Driven by AI Data Center Demand, Benefiting U.S. Power Semiconductor Targets
  • DC0%

BlockBeats News, June 26, 2026: Nearly all major Chinese power semiconductor manufacturers have announced price hikes. Yangtze Memory Technology announced a price increase of 10% to 15% for all its products starting from July 1, marking its second price hike this year; Chongqing Microelectronics, Silan Micro, and NCE Power have also followed suit with price hikes.

Serenity pointed out that the driving force behind this round of price hikes has shifted from the cost side to the demand side—AI data center construction, energy storage system expansion, and the popularization of new energy vehicles have jointly driven the continued strengthening of power semiconductor demand.

Serenity believes that this trend constitutes a positive signaling effect for the U.S. power semiconductor sector: the tightening of Chinese production capacity will reduce the price pressure on similar U.S. products, coupled with continued demand validation and pricing power improvement. U.S. power semiconductor targets such as Alpha & Omega Semiconductor (AOSL) and Power Integrations (POWI) are expected to benefit, and the above-mentioned favorable factors have already emerged ahead of the comprehensive popularization of the 800V direct current architecture.

In addition, upstream material suppliers of power semiconductors are also expected to benefit, including copper, tin, and other non-ferrous metals, as well as materials such as packaging resins, chemicals, and packaging consumables, with related material demand heating up simultaneously.
