BlockBeats News, July 23rd - According to Reuters, driven by the AI data center construction boom, Intel and AMD are signing longer-term server CPU procurement agreements with Chinese server customers. Some of these agreements have a term of over two years to secure procurement scale, although prices are usually not fixed.
The report indicates that the AI infrastructure demand has expanded from GPUs to server CPUs, storage, network equipment, and memory. The prices of some Chinese server CPU products have risen by over 40% since the beginning of this year, with monthly increases of over 10% for some products. Earlier, Reuters reported that the delivery time for some Intel Xeon server CPUs has been extended to up to 6 months.
