BlockBeats News, July 24th, AMD has released the Ryzen AI Embedded X100 series processor. This series of chips adopts the same Strix Halo chip design as the Ryzen AI Max series, but with a different target market, mainly focusing on robots, industrial automation, medical health, and other embedded computing systems.

AMD had previously previewed the X100 series at CES 2026, but at that time, more specific information had not been disclosed. The newly released X100 series introduces the Strix Halo architecture into physical AI application scenarios, combining Zen 5 CPU cores, RDNA 3.5 GPU, and XDNA 2 NPU AI acceleration units, aiming to provide high-performance edge computing capabilities for devices such as robots that require real-time perception and AI inference.

This series of processors supports up to 16 Zen 5 CPU cores and adopts a unified memory architecture to meet the needs of robots and industrial devices for running large-scale AI models, visual processing, and autonomous decision-making. AMD hopes to expand its presence in the physical AI and edge intelligence market with the X100 series, competing with vendors like NVIDIA for the next generation of robot computing platforms.
