BlockBeats News, July 25th. According to an official announcement from NVIDIA, SK Group and NVIDIA have announced an expansion of their long-term strategic partnership. The two parties plan to carry out an AI infrastructure cooperation project with a scale exceeding $500 billion, covering AI factory construction and next-generation AI storage chip supply.

Under the agreement, SK Telecom will construct a 2 GW-level AI cloud infrastructure based on NVIDIA's Vera Rubin architecture and DSX platform. The first AI factory is expected to go online in 2027. This project will integrate NVIDIA's accelerated computing, software, and partner technologies to provide compute power support for enterprise AI, AI for intelligent agents, and physical AI applications.

Simultaneously, SK hynix has reached a long-term AI storage cooperation agreement with NVIDIA. The two parties will jointly develop and optimize next-generation AI memory solutions, including HBM (High Bandwidth Memory), to meet the increasing compute power demand of large-scale model training, AI intelligent agents, and physical AI.

SK Group Chairman Choi Tae-won stated that in the AI era, competition depends not only on AI application capabilities but also on the ability to "manufacture intelligence." SK will combine SK hynix's AI storage technology and SK Telecom's AI infrastructure capabilities to jointly build a globally leading AI factory with NVIDIA.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said that South Korea has the key conditions to become a global AI powerhouse, including leading network, data center, and chip technologies. NVIDIA will work with SK Group to drive the next stage of AI industry development in South Korea.
