Tether stated that the certification confirms that XAUT complies with Islamic finance core principles, allowing users to digitally hold physical gold through blockchain infrastructure. Each XAUT token represents direct ownership of physical gold in a Swiss vault, without involving interest (Riba), leverage, or speculative derivatives.

Amanah Advisors confirmed that XAUT issuer TG Commodities, S.A. de C.V. meets Islamic finance requirements, including:

Actual ownership of physical gold;

Transparent and verifiable asset reserves;

No involvement of interest-based mechanisms;

No use of leverage or speculative derivatives;

Transparent reserve structure.

Tether mentioned that gold has long played a significant role in the Islamic finance system, and XAUT aims to bridge traditional gold value with blockchain technology, increasing the global accessibility of digital gold.
