BlockBeats News, August 13th. "BTC OG Whale" Garrett Jin released this week's market report, qualitatively describing the rebound in the South Korean market as a broad consolidation rather than a new trend—SK Hynix retested the 1.42 million KRW region and saw a continuous rebound. As of August 13th, the closing price rose by 5.9% to 1,593,000 KRW. The KOSPI has risen by 20% from its July low, entering a technical bull market, but foreign investors have not shifted to long-term holdings, and the drag from leveraged ETFs continues. Garrett Jin set the initial profit-taking level at $1,150 (approximately 1.63 million KRW), with the next target at $1,300 (185 million KRW).
Garrett Jin also stated that gold recorded its strongest weekly gain since January this week, up +7.8% to $4,388, driven by a reduction of 23,000 jobs in July and mild CPI data that dampened expectations of a September rate hike. However, the short-term market is overbought, and any pullback would be seen as an opportunity to gradually increase positions. Bitcoin showed no response to the same macroeconomic positives, still trapped between support at $62,500 and resistance at $65,000-70,000. The bottom structure has been gradually forming since $57,700, and Garrett Jin is waiting for a pullback to identify the next buying opportunity.
Regarding SpaceX, Garrett Jin believes that the recent performance is a classic case of "selling the news" plus short squeeze, where the unlocking itself has led to profit-taking instead of a price decline. However, with the unlocking window not yet closed, another 319 million shares will be unlocked on August 20th, and around 700 million shares each in September and October. The current range up to $160 is seen as a profit-taking zone rather than a chasing high zone.
