BlockBeats News, August 15th, Google announced that users can now remove visible watermarks from their AI-generated content, including images, videos, and songs. The company explicitly stated that this action will not affect the invisible SynthID watermark or metadata related to the C2PA standard.

Google's Vice President of Gemini, Josh Woodward, posted that this switch will apply to the Nano Banana, Omni, and Lyria models. He noted that the option to disable visible watermarks will be available in Gemini and the Google video editor Flow, with search support coming soon. This feature will be rolled out in the coming days, and once live, users can go to "Settings> Media Watermark" to enable or disable visible watermarks.

Google also open-sourced a new library called Credentio to help developers embed a local verification mechanism into their applications.
