BlockBeats News, August 28th - Ethereum core developer nixo.eth tweeted that the community has decided to move the Account Abstraction proposal EIP-8141 from "Consideration" status to "Scheduled" status, confirming that Account Abstraction will be a key feature to be pushed forward as part of the Hegotá upgrade.
Furthermore, another proposal EIP-8130 is scheduled to go live on Base in September, sparking discussions on avoiding a split in the account abstraction standards between L1 and L2. Currently, the two EIP authors and core developers are working hard to reach a unified solution without delaying the upgrade. The status change indicates that this feature has officially entered the Hegotá upgrade plan, but the specific specifications may still undergo significant changes.
It is reported that EIP-8130 is a Native Account Abstraction (Native AA) proposal put forward by Base's Chris Hunter, aiming to directly embed smart account capabilities into the protocol, rather than relying on a bundler and EntryPoint as in ERC-4337.
