BlockBeats News, August 28th, according to the official website, Solana's "Double Deflation" proposal has concluded the voting stage with a participation rate of 60.69%. Of the total votes, 67% were in favor, 25.16% were against, and 7.84% abstained. The approval rate has reached the required 2/3 support threshold. The proposal suggests reducing the SOL inflation rate to approximately half of the original rate, thus increasing the deflation rate to 30%. Based on current estimates, this proposal will reduce the future circulating supply by approximately 18.9 million SOL over the next six years.

In addition, the "Resource and Inclusion Fees" proposal has concluded the voting stage with a participation rate of 61.14%. Of the total votes, 53.9% were in favor, 18.92% were against, and 27.18% abstained. The approval rate did not reach the required 2/3 support threshold. The proposal suggests introducing a transaction fee mechanism based on resource consumption, where fees are charged based on the network resources used by the transaction. It is expected to increase the daily SOL burn from the current approximately 650 SOL to between 7500 and 9000 SOL.
