This investment, completed on Tuesday, is the first signal of how Aschenbrenner is dealing with the aftermath after Situational Awareness Fund nearly collapsed last week due to multiple Wall Street lenders issuing additional margin calls.
This funding round is an addition to the $1 billion Aschenbrenner had already invested in the same company last month through Situational Awareness. It is currently unclear which company in his private equity portfolio has received this additional funding.
